Day 1. Ha Noi - Mai Chau

You will travel to Mai Chau, a picturesque valley and home of many hill tribes, mainly Thai people. Upon arrival in Mai Chau, after checking into traditional house, you will savor delicious lunch. Then, the whole afternoon will be spent discovering the beauty of Mai Chau by walking or cycling through the terrace rice field, the tranquil Van village, stilt houses in Pom Coong village, Chieng Sai, Nhot… shopping in Lac village. In the evening, you will be excited when enjoying a traditional dance performance and drinking Ruou Can, the traditional liquor made by rice.

Day 2. Mai Chau – Pu Luong

After breakfast, transfer to Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road (50km) via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. After delicious lunch in stilt house, transfer to a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you begin your walk in search of stunning water wheels. Get up close to each wheel and discover how water is moved from river to handmade bamboo aqueducts via simple constructions of all sizes.

Arriving at a local fisherman’s house, you have a short rest to gear up for the bamboo river rafting. Float along the calm river and enjoy the views, in between learning how to paddle and steer your handcrafted rafts.

Arriving at scenic Tan Lap bridge, you disembark to be transferred back to stilt house for dinner.

Day 3. 20 Jul. Pu Luong – Hanoi

We start to descend into the beautiful valley where you walk around tumbling rice terraces. Then we will walk through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal a picturesque Uoi village sitting at the base of a towering mountain. Your camera will not be able to sit still when you see the panorama view of the village from above.

Continue walk down hill to Uoi village then on to Lan village. If time permits, we will visit a local family where we can learn about their traditional brocade weaving (not guaranteed). Walk through the rice paddies again to get back to the main road to the car pick-up point. Lunch in homestay before transferred back to Hanoi.

Day 4. 21 Jul. Visit Hanoi - Departure

Being one of the most ancient cities in Vietnam, Hanoi is characterized by a variety of monuments and constructions from antique to modern. You will have a chance to admire the antique pagoda right next to French building and to taste the oriental flavor in the old quarter. Our tour guide will lead you to the Literature Temple which is dedicated to Confucius and known as the first university of Vietnam. Then back to the old quarter to reveal the amazing Ngoc Son temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. Time to discover the old quarter of Hanoi with a 1-hour excursion in cyclo. Then free time for shopping before the transfer without guide to the Noi Bai international airport for depature flight.
